Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory

Also known as Battle Hymn of the Republic, we just like to sing the "Glory Hallelujahs"!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He has loosed the faithful lightning of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on

Chorus
Glory Glory Hallelujah!
Glory Glory Hallelujah!
Glory Glory Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on!

I have seen Him in the watchfires of hundred circling camps
They have gilded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps
His day is marching on
Chorus

In the beauty of the lilies
Christ was born across the sea
With a glory in His bosom
That transfigures you and me
As He died to make men holy
Let us die to make men free
Our God is marching on.

Chorus

Oh When The Saints

Oh When The Saints (CWS 2012*)

Oh when the saints
Go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in!

Oh when the drums begin to bang...

Oh when the stars fall from the sky...

Oh when the fires begin to blaze...

*CWS: Caribbean Worship & Song seems to be out of print, so here are the lyrics to a song that you may not find anywhere else on account of that book being unavailable for purchase.

About One Body YG&C

One Body YG&C is all about the music that supported our worship.

We want to remember the songs forever, especially the beautiful ones that no one sings anymore.

When was the last time you heard Hosannah to the King or do you even know it? It's like a Christmas song but also an Easter song in some ways...it covers both feasts. There are some like I Am the Way the Truth the Life, that we're not even sure is available on any recording and we're already forgetting the words. My eternal favourite from Evie is Live For Jesus - it's a simple but satisfying melody that harkens back to the innocence of the early days of a faith journey. Sometimes we do need to remember simpler times and use that child-like trust when the dark times are threatening. Beautiful songs like these need to be remembered and shared.
Gospel music, praise and worship songs we want to remember.

Hosannah to the King

 Little baby in a manger
Son of God above
Born to die for all my sins
Yes I believe in love

Love has triumphed
Death is finished
I cannot conceive
Why One so lovely
One so kind
Would bring new life to me

Born to die to rise again
To crush the power of Satan's sin
I lift my voice, out loud and sing
Hosannah!
Hosannah!
Hosannah to the King!

Retreat: Women Empowering Women

Arrival time Friday: 5:30pm

Departure time Sunday: 2:30pm

Why attend??
Women who need empowerment, should be at this retreat, because once you empower a woman, you create positive change for the entire family and community in which she resides. That is the power of a woman! More importantly though, we need to hear the stories about women who have been through fire, and came out of it, because...God. Testimonies from women who are more than conquerors in Christ, will do wonders for the women who need that grace.

Register now by calling the numbers above.
